This is my 1969 Mustang GT S-Code Convertible. Only 251 - 1969 Mustang Convertibles were made with the 390 ci engine, and even fewer were made with the 390 engine and the GT Equipment Group combination. The car was a pre-production car, delivered to Ford's Transportation Services prior to the regular production of the 1969 Mustang. This car is one of only a hand-full of cars that were built to introduce the next year's model at regional auto shows around the country. I will be re-restoring the car to its original Silver Jade color sometime in the future.

Album: Fred's 1969 Mach 1 Stang.
1969 Mach 1, M code. Originally Aztec Aqua (Crest toothpaste color), repainted Candyapple Red by previous owner 19 years ago. The 351 W is the original block. Previous owner balanced the motor and put a pretty stout Comp cam in, along with some ported heads.

This car started out as a meadowlark yellow 351W automatic. It now is a candy apple red 427 CID Windsor hooked to a T56 6 speed transmission going to a 4.56 traction loc rear end. I am at the moment gathering parts to put a tri power intake on it. Car has coil over front suspension and a Total Control Products rack and pinion. This is a fun little car to drive.
