Let's see if anyone can answer this little triva questions. This question is aim to the people who owns tachometer option in their Mustang or who THINKS they know everything about the 1969/1970 Mustang.

Triva Question:

1. What is the value of the resistor that is wired in series from the dististor to the tach. I am refering to Wire 16A (Pink) Wire.
Hint: On the wiring diagram the resister is shown but not the resister value.

2. What is the resister value of Wire 30A (Violet) This is a true resister wire?

3. What is the resister value of Wire 904 (Violet) resister wire?

I hope that someone can answer these questions. If you can then YOU are truely a Mustang expert.

bnickel,
You are getting warmer. You have one right out of the three. Nice guess.

Come on guys, Who would like to be called "THE NUMBER ONE" mustang expert on this forum. Who wants the honors to be called the leading Mustang Expert!

Another Clue:
All three resisters were never never published in any FORD materials.

Come one group, who wants the top title.

OK
Since nobody really researched their Mustangs and no one wants to claim the top prize of being "THE" expert here are the answers.

Only the one who like me have converted the non-tach wiring to the tach wiring by disassembling the entire wiring harness and at one wire at a time completely rewire the non-tach harness to the tach harness, including the pain-staking job of relocation the pin locations and slots at the dash cluster printed circuit board.

These values were never published and it took me five years back in 1978 to get FORD to unlock "THE" blueprints from their vaulets
All values are 10% tolerances resistance.

1. 16A (PINK) = 1.5 ohms

2. 30A (Violet) = 8.5 ohms

3. 904 (Violet) = 1.5 ohms
