Thank you for posting the pictures.
These are digital pics of 20 years old color 35mm photographs.
Purchased the car in 1978 at age 17. Spent over three and half years restoration with over 3000 hours of manhours of labor in it.
Before:
351-4v with Hurst 4-speed
After:
1967 289-4V with C4
I did keep the 351-4v heads
Every muscle part that existed back them which is mostly FORD 289 hipo parts. Added every option possible. Note: Since I was just starting to date at that time, I did not install the shacker, chicks loves the turn signal flashing on the hood so I kept that hood scoop.
As you can see, I did not start that project as a show only car, it just turn out that way.
BTW tthe other mustang in the picture is my younger brother, purchased the '66 when he was 12 and by the time he was 16 he both had restored mustangs and he showed his a few times with me at some of the ISCA AutoRama events. I was 19 and my brother was 17. Both my brother and myself are one of the very few youngest ISCA AutoRama show winners that have earned the regional title. If you were to do this today's economy you would spend easy $75,000 to $100,000 on the car to get to that level to get a shot at the regional title.
