stripping paint

well i dont plain on stipping my pant until its read to paint which will be a while, but am i good to use a orbital sander to get it down to the metal???

I used a dual action sander on my car. Orbital will work just fine I think, but you have to make sure not to keep it in one place to long or it could warp the metal. But I think that applys for all sanders. 40 grit works good to remove paint fast (what I used) but if you dont want to be very aggressive you can use 80 or 120 grit.
