Have a 69 fastback and I installed a new roof rail weatherstrip. The problem I have is between the qtr glass and chrome. There is a gap and exposing an oblong hole. If I wash the car it will allow water in the car. I saw the post on coupes but what about fastbacks? Is there an adjustment?

Thanks

ok, i think what your missing is the 1/4 window pivot gromet, npd (national parts depot )has it listed fo 13 bucks for both sides.

i'm trying to scan in a pic of the parts brake down for you, but i'm having technical dificulties. looks lik you gotta pull the window to install it.

click on the weatherstrip section and go to (in numerical order) 30246-1, it matches exactly what you need.

Yep thought the same thing and bought these from Dallas Mustang but it didn't solve the issue. I think what happen is there might have been 2 roof rail weatherstripping produced back then. Where the inner panel is spot weilded to the car it look like the edge of it is spread out...wish I had a pic but its on both sides of the car. We've ruled out an accident repair job or if the rear clip has been replaced. Only thing I can come up with is a factory QC deal. but my body man swears the original strip was wider? He tossed the strip so I can't verify his statement but looking at the angle of the channel I'd say it be pretty tough to imaging that. http://www.dallasmustang.com/index.mvc?Session_ID=41d7a5a15be83409fe5dbbb619e7d e1b&p=4635
