newer rims

how easy is it to install say cobra r rims or any newer mustang style rims on a 69 mach1, guy on ebay has 18 inch saleens all way around said back fit no prob but front needed 1/2 bolt on spacers , that sound right?

Yes that sounds right. The newer rims are the same bolt pattern but the hubs on the older cars stick out further so you need to run a spacer to install the center cap. or just don't install the center cap as I have seen a few times.
