What would make it specifically for an Automatic Big Block?

Connections at the bottom for tranny lines. You can always plug them for a 4spd car.
I'll check Cj pony and see what they are listed for.

The connections are there, the picture shows them next to the drain plug and inlet/outlet bottom hose connection. It could be used for an Auto tranny.

This is the same radiator I installed in my 69 Mach1 with a 351C/408C engine. Works great - would highly recommend this radiator. Cooling factor is superb.

And it will work with an Auto - it's set up for a trans cooler to be installed. Or keep the connections tapped and use it with a manual like I did.

What would be a good radiator for a 69 302 auto with air? I need a new one.

There are two answers for your question Yes & No.

Yes, it will work for a '69 or '70 302 motor BUT modifications will be needed. I wouldn't even suggest trying it is much easier to spend some more money and get one that hooks up the original way.

No, it will not work because its specifically for a 390, 428 or 429 motor.

Honestly if you were to use a big block radiator with a small block motor the cost is going to be more than you would expect between new engine pieces and big block radiator brackets.
