Greetings car buffs. My friend is computerless and seeking info about a 1969 1/2 Mustang he has stashed away with some other gems. It has power brakes/steering, hard top, 302

Is there REALLY a half year '69 and if so, what makes it different? I've learned that the '64 1/2 was a Pace car making me wonder if this 1/2 year part is valid on his car. Any identifying markers like on the tail light lens or the VIN?

Any and all help is appreciate!

Sincerely,
Cambie

To the best of my knowledge there is no such beast a 69 and 1/2. However the cars production date could have been mid year. But it would not have been considered a 69 1/2.

I wonder if your refering to the GT option which ended in 69. There were early diffs. in 69. Light teak wood grain is 1 change which comes to mind. That was switched mid-year. GT's do have a strong following, but I don't know if 302s were available. Is your car a FB? More info or post a pic?
