Just got the car back from body shop. Drivers floorpan, all trunk pieces, and tail light panel replaced. Valence will be put on and done when we bring it back for the lower quarters and paint to be done. Will try to get some pictures tommorow. And get opinions on paint choice. He shot me a test panel of house of kolor charcoal grey. It fllipflops at every angle.

I don't know why, but I have always preffered the look of the original Shelby design to the knock offs. The back lip just seems sooooo huge when it doesn't have the recessed insert in it like these.

Yeh mustangdepot does have the pieces but like pakrat says its too exaggerated looking. Just doesnt flow. How much does the shelby pieces go for?

for all the pieces shown in Pak's pic you are talking about 650-850 or more depending on where you get them. i would recommend either mustangs unlimtied or Branda for the actual shelby style stuff. they seem to have the best glass stuff from what i can tell.

Ok thanks for the info. Does anyone have any personal experience with these pieces?

Not yet, what kind of a time line are you on. 8)
That pic is from the Branda site, but just know that even though they show all the pieces together I do not believe they have a complete kit, you have to order each piece seperately. Supposedly they are worth the extra money for time you save in fitting them, but even concours correct Shelby's I have seen haven't always been perfect. I haven't looked at the Mustang's Unlimited ones yet but I may now consider it. I had always heard and believed that the branda parts were the best available and wasn't even considering trying anyone else since they were to be worth the extra but I read recently somewhere that wasn't necessarily true at least for one person's experience.
I will say this though, it apeared to me that they used the Branda stuff on the Comp Cams vert and as you look thru the process pics it appears to fit very good. I don't like that they left the insert out though, the recess looks out of place painted solid.

i was going to leave the insert out as well, but flat black that area to match the other blackouts on my car.

Yup, that is basically what I have been thinking as well B. Since it does cost extra for the inserts and I plan to black out the tail panel anyway then might as well just paint that section too. Tonal doesn't look right though, especially without any letters in there, it seems like something is missing, see:

This pic shows the fitment pretty well:

Of course we have no idea really how much they massaged it either, but as the whole car is painted and these did not get painted either on the car nor for some reason at least at the same time as the car then I can only draw two conclusions, 1) Either they only thought of this later (which I doubt since the goal was always the look of their Camaro) or 2) They had alignment issues with whatever they tried before and had to change to better glass.
I personally would like to know who they used and why. I guess I could just ask them and see what they say. The end fit is pretty clean though.

Yeh try emailing them, i emailed them about their interior about a year ago just to see who did it. And they got back to me pretty fast. My timeline all depends on when i can get the space needed to garage my car, pull the engine, and rewire it. And for it to fit around my dads, mine, and uncles schedules.
looking at the branda site, which trunk lid would i get? All i see iniitially is the convertible and fastback version.

the vert version is the one you want, same as the coupe.
Pakrat

Exactly. Since they never made a Shelby coupe they list nothing for it but the vert is the same.
OK, well, I am likely going to stay with the Branda choice as well unless someone in the next month or so says that the MU stuff is the same for less. I figure I will be at this stage sometime in the next 6- 8 weeks so if you can wait then I can let you know first hand what I think of it.
Unless of course you want to take a gamble on the MU stuff and let me know instead? 8)
