View Full Version : Wanted: E-Brake Lever

I need the release lever for the emergency brake for my 69 Coupe. The pedal works fine. I didn't see one for a 69 in any catalogues, just the handle that goes on the end of the lever. I'd rather not buy an entire assembly to get the release. I hope I find one so I don't have to use a coat hanger or wire. Anybody got one? Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the part you want is available as a separate item. If so, I want one because I'm in the same boat. I was just going to buy the entire assembly.

I hope it is available, it'll be ridiculous to replace the entire assembly because of that. I think I'll come up with a workaround. What do they get for the assembly, like $75.00?

I should have one. I removed the entire assembly since I am going with a console mounted hand brake. I may not find it until this weekend. My car is packed with parts.
Hopefully I didn't toss it. Took me awhile to learn to keep parts I plan on replacing. People actually pay money for this crap. :-)
If I do have it, it'll be cheap. I don't remember what shape the handle is in, though.

Still got it. I found out that I didn't remove the brake stuff from the car on this car yet. :huh:
Where are you at? We will be going down to Mansfield at some point this weekend. We still have stuff there to move.
