3.50 or 3.89 gears???

Im having a tough time deciding to get the 3.50or 3.89 gears for my Mach1 with a 351w with Edelbrock performer intake, Holley 650 carb and speedpro cam. What are the advantages disadvantages? Idont plan to race but would like to beat my wife's SUV. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT 8)

depends mostly on how you will drive it. just around town? road trips? daily driver? occasional weekend car?

if you are not going to drive it on the highway at all and are looking for all out performance get the 3.89's

if you the car will be driven on the highway at all or is a daily driver the 3.50's would be a better choice, unless of course ou have an overdrive transmission like an AOD or a t-5 then the 3.89's would work well and still give a lower cruise rpm and mileage

Thanks for the info! 8) I plan to some highway driving about 25% of the time but Iguess Im trying to get the most out of what I got. I settled for 3.70 gears I hope it will do the job. :)
