Got my 69 Mach 1 last week and really didn't have much time to check her out - weather and traveling. So I decided today was the day to poke around. My door tag states that my car was a 351W-2v and an FMX tranny. It was converted over to a 4 speed toploader and a posi rear but I thought the engine was still the orginal Windsor.

Well much to my surprise it's a Cleveland engine. 8 bolt valve covers and top radiator hose at a 90 degree into the block pretty much confirms it. I assume this opens up many more options for me....

Thought I would share the good news and ask if anyone can advise on options I have. I want to do a mild/moderate rebuild. Right now it has an Offenhauser intake and a Holly carb. Anyone know where the product or serial numbers are for these?

Thanks for the help

Bummer if you wanted an original car, good deal if you want performance right away!

Congrats on your purchase. Gota love the cleveland. Edelbrock is finally coming out with some aftermarket heads for it within the the next 3 months or at least thats what they told me. I'm looking forward to this myself. But i dont know how you could improve on the original cleve heads....
