Gas Tank Question

It sure looks like I'm leaking gas from the tank through the pop-open gas cap. My Mach 1 has been lowered and I'm wondering if that, combined with acceleration will slosh gas up through the filler neck and out the cap. They don't seem to seal airtight anyway.
Anyway have similar problems?
And, any ideas for fixes?
