Hi all,
I have a '69 Coupe and the cable that is attached to the gas pedal keeps coming off. It has been attached with electrical ties, and every now and then the floor matt bunches up and knocks it off.

I've been looking in the catalogs and see a mounting screw used in '68, but no mention of how the cable is attached to the gas pedal for '69. Can anybody tell me how this is done and what I should order to fix it?

Thanks!
Margaret

This probably doesnt help but my cable is tied in a knott. I doubt this is the right way though.

coincidence, maybe?
i have just been talking on an other forum about my lokar throttle set-up. the way it atteches to the pedal, it can't come off.
if your set-up is stock, then up-grading to the full lokar set-up may not be the best idea. it requires you use their throttle bracket.

what you can do is redo the cable, set it up to have a clevis on it instead of the "barrel" retainer it already has, and you good. i'll post some pics to help tou get an idea of what i'm talking about.............here is a pic of the clevis.
