Voltage to HIGH on 1969 Mustang

Is there a kind heart soul out there that can maybe help me out there.,
I have a 1969 Mustang and have been trying to get the VOLTAGE down for it is sticking at 16 and have tried everything possiable to change this with no end in site . Is there someone out that could help me solve this issue ????

well it would help us a little more if we knew what you have already done. have you changed the alternator or voltage regulator? how about the starter soleniod? wiring? battery?
