Idler arm question

[Purple Mach One]

I have a 69 Mustang Mach One with a new idler arm I had installed four years ago. It came from Mustangs Plus. Last Sunday as I was changing the oil on the car, I noticed a gap between the idler arm and the steering center drag link. BTW, I have a power steering setup on this car. Do any of your Mach One's have a gap. Sorry I don't have pictures. How do I send photos anyway? Any of responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

sounds like you have some ware on the idler. there shouldn't be any gap.

the rack and pinion does away with the idler arm, so i don't have one. i do have the one that came off though., want a pic??.
