I6 to V8 conversion

What would be a good transmission to go with if I put in a 351W? and wouldl the clutch linkage need to be changed? If so how would I go about changing the linkage? Thanks

i'm not a good source of info on this one, i like automatics.......but thats just me.

i think a t-5 would be a good upgrade. you get the overdrive which allows you to run steeper gears then you normaly would and still not kill yourself on the highway. i would also either go with a cable or hydrolic clutch conversion, this all really depends on your budget too. i'll get my buddie bob to come and play, he has a 70 he's gonna do a t-5 or tremec(i think i spelt that right) on. he has good info on the subject.
