gas mileage?

Hey im just wondering what kind of gas mileage you guys are getting compared to me. What are you guys getting with your different combos? ie: smaller engine, aod tranny, 2 bbl carb, etc. Post your mileage along with any other information that might be related.

Im getting 10 mpg around town but I dont know what it gets on the freeway cause I havent taken it anywhere outside of town. Its got a 351W with c6 tranny and 650cfm holley. Doesnt seem to change the mileage if I try to keep the rpms low or if I decide to zoom around town.

with my last motor i was getting about 20-22 on the highway. that was 69 351w with flat top pistons, .442 lift/270 duration (advertised) installed 4 degrees advanced, e'brock performer intake/600 carter carb, mallory unilite conversion in the stock distributor, stock manifolds and 2-1/4" dual exhaust with turbo muff's, 3.25 rear gear and 26" tall tires, stock fmx auto.

The last time i checked i was getting 15mpg with a 351 cleveland, c4 tranny (which just died), and a gas leak + a faulty fuel pump. So im really wondering what i will get with a new tranny and all the other stuff has been fixed.

Gas mileage? Whats that?
30 over 428 with a stock 735 carb, .533 lift 280 duration cam, 3:50 gears(I can`t imagine how the 3:91`s are) some where around 6 if I drive like a little old lady, 2 to 4 if I have some fun. :lol:

I was getting around 13 with my old wet up. That was an Edelbrock performer cam and intake, Carter 625, ported stock heads, stock manifolds, 2" exhaust (it was free), C4, and 3.00:1 gears.

Because of the gas prices in the Netherlands,i dit shortly take notice of my gas mileage use.With my 351W 4v i,am coming up to 15ml/gln withs i think is not bad.bud the weight of our rigth feet is very important.Mostly i drive a cruise speed of 70mls on the highway.Our speedlimit is between 60 and 75.60 on highways in townareas and 75 on the highway outside town.Most of the time we drive in colonne to the meetings with more Mustangs.That,s a lot of fun and so whe injoy every drive whe make.You can compare this with a run to the Netherlands for about 20 Mustangs every Month in the season.And sometimes whe drive the same way for international meetings as for instanse June next year whe drive to France with about 30 Dutch Mustangs and on our way to France whe picup other Mustangs on certan places in Belgium and France.This drive is going to an old circuit in Reims France and is for us about 300 mls away.So that,s way whe drive not so fast otherwise we can keepup to eatchother.
When we go to Meetings in Germany there is no speedlimit on the highways and then whe drive sometimes up to 100 or 120 mls p/hr.Mij use of gas is with that speed about just 9 mls a gallon.
